We are on the outskirts of Le Langon, a farming village overlooking fields of sunflowers, maize, and Connemara ponies. The regional park of the Marais Poitevin, famous for its aquatic flora and fauna, surrounds us. This area is ideal for walking and cycling. The historic town of Fontenay le Comte with its restaurants and shops is only 12Km away and has a swimming pool. It is only forty minutes drive to the Atlantic coast with the lovely sandy beaches of La Faute and La Tranche. A bit further south is the medieval town of La Rochelle with its old port, aquarium and yacht harbour, with many restaurants to savour the Charentaise cuisine and local wines and spirits

Evening meals are available at 15 euros a head including complementary wine - using home grown fruit and vegetables plus local produce.

There is easy access with a large parking area.
