I am a  British-born freelance translator and interpreter with more than 20 years of experience of the French and everything French. I moved to France when I was 20 and have lived and worked here ever since, thus having to deal with French administration on a regular basis. I enjoy a challenge and am prepared to untangle the most exasperating of problems which often occur when there is a breakdown in communication.

I also have an extensive knowledge of the French Real Estate business and the buying and selling process after 7 years on the inside. Having worked with the British and the French in this business as an estate agent I realised that what was lacking was an impartial and professional assistant working exclusively in the client's interests (this is not the case of intermediaries such as estate agents who naturally have commercial considerations to be taken into account ).  Many clients would come to viewings with a well-meaning neighbour or friend to assist them who would often end up giving THEIR views on the property too ! Buying or selling a property in France demands inside knowledge of the legal process and, just as importantly, of what makes the French 'tick'. I am a firm believer in letting the client make an informed choice based on the clear and impartial information that I can give him. It really is a lot of time saved for all concerned. My advantage is that  I know all  the local agencies and the notaries in the area AND I act specifically for YOU, the client.
